Lincoln Horse Care Pine Tar Spray is a convenient way of applying natural Stockholm Tar to the hoof. Stockholm tar is made from pine wood that is heated to 250°C. The resulting black viscous fluid is an extremely good preservative, traditionally used to protect hooves that are continuously exposed to damp conditions. Regular use will help keep the hoof hygienically clean, thereby promoting optimum hoof health. Used traditionally by horse owners due to its effective antiseptic & waterproofing properties. Regular use keeps the frog, sole & wall of hoof healthy and free from problems. Stockholm Tar acts to neutralize ammonia in urine when standing on wet stable bedding. Particularly effective during the wet winter months. Spray a thin, even layer onto the clean, dry hoof, avoiding the coronary band. Avoid contact with skin and eyes.
