Lincoln Horse Care Classic Glycerine Bar Soap (250g)
The Lincoln Horse Care classic 100% glycerine bar soap is a time honored quality product in a convenient to use container that effectively cleans and nourishes smooth leather tack. This pleasant fragrance, long-standing formulation has been trusted for many years. Glycerin soap for leather works by cleaning, conditioning, and preserving leather goods through its moisturizing and water-retaining properties, helping to restore suppleness and prevent dryness and cracking. Apply to leather with a damp sponge or cloth and rub well. Remove any excess product with a clean, dry cloth. Store in a cool, dry place. Available in bar form in 250 gram size (8.8 ounces). Made in the UK.
Cleaning and Conditioning: Glycerine soap, a form of saddle soap, is effective at removing dirt, grime, and sweat from smooth leather, while also providing a gentle cleaning action.
Moisturizing and Hydration: Glycerine is a humectant, meaning it attracts and retains moisture, which is crucial for keeping leather supple and preventing it from drying out and cracking. Leather contains natural oils, and cleaning and use can strip these oils. Glycerine helps to keep these natural oils within the leather.
Restoring Suppleness and Shine: By replenishing moisture and cleaning the leather, glycerin soap helps to restore its natural suppleness and can even enhance its appearance with a lustrous sheen.
Water Resistance: Glycerine can help seal and lock in the natural oils within the leather, contributing to a degree of water resistance. However, it is important to understand that glycerine soap is not a waterproofing solution.
Application: Apply the glycerin soap to the smooth leather with a damp sponge or cloth, working it into the leather to form a lather. Then, wipe away all excess soap with a clean, damp cloth. Dried soap can attract dust and dirt
