Lincoln Horse Care UV Sunblock Cream is a protective, soothing sun block cream developed to safeguard delicate, exposed areas of animal skin which are at a high risk of sunburn. This innovative formulation provides broad spectrum protection using Zinc Oxide, a proven UV filter, plus 2 additional UV filters to reflect and absorb UVA & UVB rays. Water resistant properties enhance protection, ensuring each application is long-lasting and resilient. Use as a preventative to protect delicate skin against damage from the sun or to soothe sun-burnt areas. Added Aloe Vera gently calms and aids recovery whilst the inclusion of Lanolin conditions and moisturizes. Easy to apply, the cream's pink coloring acts as a marker for reapplication. Reapply frequently, especially after swimming or heavy sweating. Suitable for the protection of muzzles, scars and areas of photosensitive skin. Test on a small inconspicuous area before full application. Available in a 200g container (approximately 7 ounces). Made in the UK. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.

Sunburn: Horses with white or light-colored skin, especially on the muzzle, ears, legs, heels, the top of the tail, and any white markings, are prone to painful sunburns
Photo-sensitization: Some horses can develop photo-sensitivity, where even lightly pigmented skin reacts abnormally to UV light, causing skin damage. Photo-sensitization can be caused by certain medications or plants
Other Issues: Sun exposure can also lead to coat bleaching and potentially reduce the immune system's ability to fight infections
Apply liberally: Apply a generous layer of sunblock to areas with light or pink skin, such as the muzzle, ears, heels, the top of the tail, and any white markings
Reapply frequently: Reapply the sunblock every two hours, or more often if the horse is sweating or swimming. Always follow the sunblock product instructions
Additional Protection: Providing shade and using fly masks or sheets with UV protection is also helpful
Veterinary Consultation: For horses with severe photo-sensitivity or frequent sunburns, consult a veterinarian
